Thrifty Kitty

Hello Lovelies

I'm Bianca, a progressive 23-year old living temporarily in a small piney woods town none of you have ever heard of and studying organizational communication and leadership - Don't ask. Let's get further acquainted, shall we?
*Sips tea*

I adore a colorful bouquet.

& I'm awful at taking selfies.

ANYWAY.

Initially this blog wasn't intended to be (but essentially is going to unfold - I think)  as a somewhat unconventional "lifestyle" diary involving varietal feminine miscellaneous components.  These would include beauty, skin, food (mostly gluten free), and fitness *aside from the overall 'personal style development' theme* given my recent diagnosis of PCOS and having to maintain a new positive healthy lifestyle. Given rather conspicuous timing we'll see how this project evolves seeing as I also happen to be studying my final semester at university! *SNAPS* Honestly couldn't be more jazzed to share with the living organisms on this mysterious planet what I have to offer to it. Basically in a nutshell kitties, these lifestyle subtopics along with personal style development will all collectively coexist! So with all of that being said ............
I have been wanting to start this blog for quite some time meow!!! :)

Given my intrinsic eye for thrifting clothes, accessories, purses, shoes, household items, and random tid-bits with my mother over the years I thought it was time to document these nostalgic treasures. Majority of these items are clothes/outfits I've pieced together or modified to fit my personal style which I'd define as a hybrid 90's Jane Garofalo meets Felicity Jones { elegant with an edge }.

After working in several boutiques around midtown Houston, I have finally established a personal style for myself that I'm comfortable with. It's taken years of figuring out how to express myself effectively given an introvert-extrovert persona. I can be extremely selective in terms of how I open myself up to people. However, this has always been done silently through my wardrobe. As long as I can remember I've loved the concept of women getting dressed up. The whole process of pampering followed by timeless feminine routines you know every great woman throughout history engaged in, evokes an altruistic feeling of integrated womanliness.

My love of thrifting for clothes has likewise truly opened new dimensions in my adoration of fashion while adding so much joy and confidence to my character. Also just throwing it out there, I'm a bit of a chubby kitty - SO with that being said I've always worked in high end/boutique retail. In being exposed to those environments I've learned how to enhance not only professional skills within that industry but my many passions for design, art, fashion, travel, writing, health, culture and diversity. Loving yourself is not easy. Hopefully through this blog young ladies such as myself can build a fun, crafty, feminine community of support for each other!

xx Bianca <3
